Hexaplex Cichoreum commonly known as Indivia Long Spine Murex shells are found across the Indo_Pacific region. This includes the Indian Ocean to the shores of Northern Austrailia and New Zealand. They prefer shallow waters with rocky or sandy bottoms.

Indivia Long Spine Murex species belong to the large family of Sea Snails. They feed on bivalves by drilling a hole through the clam or oyster shell. They also prey on other molluscs and scavenge on carrion.
