The Lambis Chiagra, belonging to the Strombidae family, is a large, dense, and heavy conch with a bloated body whorl and a brief spire. Its projections, which are prominently developed around the aperture's edge, obscure the spire. The apex is sharp, and the whorls are angled. The body whorl features uneven, bumpy spiral ribs that terminate in curved projections. There are five projections forming the outer lip, with a sixth at the base of the ridged columella, constituting the siphonal canal. These projections are open along their entire length. The shell's coloration is predominantly white with brown mottling and spots, while the aperture may be pink, red, or occasionally brownish. Female shells tend to be larger. Lambis Chiagra is typically found in sandy sea floors near the shore within the Indo-Pacific region.
