Vole shells, also known as Melon Conchs, are part of the Melongenidae family. These species inhabit shallow, tropical waters and are known for some of the largest shells. They feature large apertures, extended siphonal canals, and their body whorls are typically smooth, occasionally bearing spines. Voles predominantly reside in brackish waters, within mud or sand. They are carnivorous, preying on clams and sea snails. Vole shells dwell across the Indo-Pacific region.
